Hello, I'm Viktoriia, a 37-year-old business owner who recently moved from Ukraine to Canada in 2023. My journey has been both tough and rewarding as I work to settle into my new life here. In Ukraine, I owned a print shop that focused on T-shirt printing. Bringing my skills and experience to Canada, I excitedly opened a souvenir printing business in West Edmonton Mall in December 2023, something I'm proud of even with the language challenges I face. Learning English is a big part of my daily life, and while I'm making progress, speaking is still difficult. My goal is to become fluent in English, which will help me pursue more education to become a financial advisor—something important to me as I aim to provide a better life for my family. Starting fresh in Edmonton with my family, I’m inspired by the chance to begin again and create a brighter future, using my strength and determination. The support from my new community and improving my English will surely help me succeed in my goals.
